What the $97 Equipment Finance Academy Includes: 6 Modules and 25 Lessons
See all six Academy modules, 25 core lessons, the student CRM limit and what is separate in Pro and the medical/dental add-on.
The clear answer before you enroll
The $97 Equipment Finance Academy core course includes six modules and 25 lessons. You do not need Pro to complete those six modules. The training covers equipment finance and business-funding brokerage fundamentals, with a student deal workspace to organize the work you learn. It is online education and software access, not a direct loan offer, business license or promise of commissions.
Module numbering matters. The Referral Partner System is Module 6. Private-party sales and sale-leaseback content are Pro Bonus 1 and Pro Bonus 2, not Modules 6 and 7 that you must purchase to finish the core course. Medical and dental practice finance is a separate paid specialization.
Module 1: Industry Fundamentals
Begin with how businesses use financing to acquire equipment, how loans and leases differ, and the relationship among borrower, vendor, broker and lender. You learn to describe the asset, understand the purpose of a financing request and recognize that a lender, not the broker, decides approval and terms.
The practical outcome is a better first conversation. Instead of promising a rate or income result, ask what the business needs, who sells it, what it costs and when it must be delivered. Equipment purchases and working-capital needs should be identified separately even when the same borrower has both.
Module 2: Setting Up Your Brokerage
This module addresses business setup, lender relationships, basic operating tools and government-program concepts. Registering an entity is not the same as satisfying every financing rule. Verify the registration, licensing, disclosure and fee requirements that apply to the products and jurisdictions you will serve.
Start with a professional company identity and a manageable lender relationship. South End Capital, a division of Stearns Bank, is the Academy main lender; confirm current eligibility and program requirements rather than treating every borrower as a match. Specialty sources are alternatives when the request does not fit. You do not need dozens of lender applications to understand one workable submission process.
Module 3: Finding & Qualifying Clients
You learn where prospects come from, including equipment vendors and referral relationships, and how to qualify a real purchase or funding need. A public listing or AI result is a research lead, not a verified buyer. Confirm contact details, business activity and the reason for the request before collecting an application.
Use the CRM to save the source, business, contact and next action. Keep outreach relevant to the industry and lawful for the channel and jurisdiction. Ask permission where appropriate, honor opt-outs and avoid exaggerated approval, timing or earnings claims.
Module 4: Deal Structuring & Closing
This module follows the request through application, supporting documents, lender selection, approval conditions, closing and funding. A clean package identifies the borrower, equipment, seller or vendor and the supporting credit information required by the selected lender.
Select a single best-fit lender first instead of submitting indiscriminately. Record actual submission and document requests in the deal workspace. Opening a lender portal does not mean the application was sent, an approval is not funding, and preliminary documents do not override a lender closing checklist.
Module 5: Scaling Your Business
After you understand a complete deal, this module explores repeatable outreach, technology, marketing, support and ongoing relationships. Scaling starts with records you can trust: the next action, the missing document, the responsible person and the agreed follow-up date.
Advanced automation can be useful, but it is not a substitute for borrower consent, accurate details or human review. Keep client communications factual, use appropriate secure links and measure actual conversations and completed applications rather than hypothetical income.
Module 6: The Referral Partner System
The included final module teaches a relationship-based approach to referrals. Banks, equipment vendors and other business advisers may encounter a request outside their normal offering, but every institution has its own permission, compliance and referral procedures. Ask what those procedures allow before suggesting an arrangement.
The Academy Bank Referral tools help students organize research, introduction scripts, outreach and follow-up. They do not mean a bank has endorsed you or will send business. A useful partner introduction explains the type of request you can help organize and the information you need to assess it.
The student workspace versus optional Pro
Core student access uses a five-deal limit. The same practical foundation connects contacts, deal stages, applications, tasks and private client-status updates. Review the current tour and upgrade page for access details, because learning about a feature is not the same as every advanced feature being included in your tier.
Pro costs $14.99 per month or $149 lifetime. It adds unlimited deals and advanced tools, including private-party workflows, lender-submission logging, commission tracking and AI-assisted client-update drafting where available. The medical/dental specialization is sold separately; do not assume it is bundled into either the $97 course or Pro. The Academy has a no-refunds policy.
How to work through the course without getting lost
- Finish the six core modules in order and mark each included lesson complete.
- Practice qualification with an illustrative equipment request before promising a real borrower anything.
- Choose one local industry and a small verified vendor list.
- Use the deal workspace to record next actions and document requirements.
- Purchase an optional specialization only when you understand why it fits your intended workflow.
If a lesson does not save its completion, contact Support with the module and lesson title. A completion problem should not be treated as a reason to buy Pro to finish the core course.
